Happy Birthday America!

July 4th fireworks in Garner are let off at Lake Benson on July 3rd.  Last year, we were disappointed with the Raleigh fireworks, and had no intention of going to Raleigh.  Years ago, you could see the Garner fireworks from the deck, but trees have gotten taller over the years and now you can't see them.  So we decided to meet up with some friends at Lake Benson.  There were bands scheduled all day, but we didn't want to haul everything so we waited and headed out about 3 hours before the fireworks!
We knew where Kay and family were sitting, but when you got there and saw 20,000 people, I figured out it was going to be as easy as I thought.  But we did find them!  Perfect spot!  The NC Symphony had just started playing!
Amber and Lauren had too much fun with the glo-sticks!  Im not quite sure we will ever get them again! ha ha ha
Kay and I caught up and had a blast with the kids!  It was a great evening!  We end up running into each other all the time, not to mention the amount of staff that have bought cars from her.
Allison is never happy!  Can't you tell!  All in all it was a great evening with friends of all ages.  And Lake Benson fireworks ROCK!  I think we have found our new July 4th firework spot!
