Cruise 2010-Day 1 Port Canaveral

Finally....the day was here to board the boat! I love cruising. Our boat is off to the right of this pic. I knew we were on the back of the boat but little did we know it would be the top floor and the 2nd one from the right! Woo hoo! Looking good!
We pulled in, dropped off the bags with the Porter! And just think...what you see is only MY bags! ha ha...Just kidding! We then parked and headed in to get through Security and check-in!
Crossing the street into the terminal we saw this shirt....We had come to the conclusion that the 1st one listed is the Titanic and that most of the boats aren't in service anymore. We have also decided that we are going to wear our own 'matching' shirts next year. But pink is definately not me.
Checked in, pictures taken, officially on the boat we are! Woot woot! We had to take the elevator up and got on with the people below. The guy said 'its 1030 and the bars are open...of course I want a drink'. We definately had to have a picture with Bob. Bob became famous on this boat.
We dropped everything in the room and then headed out to see this very large vessel. The fitness center was HUGE compared to the boat we were on last September. It even had a boxing ring. I definately need one of those for work!
I can't really say whose face Pam posted on this bag.....but Im sure you know them! After venturing around for a bit, we had to eat....it was lunchtime and it was FREE! ha ha ha...
There are so many interesting things that you find on cruise ships. Everything is decorated and everything always has a place.
I want a fruit carver too. Do you think they list that as a talent on match.com? Just wondering.
Oh yeah, ice carving is a plus too. Ok, so the next house will have to have a walk in freezer for the blocks of ice Im going to need.
We went back to the room for awhile. The balcony was huge. Mark was supposed to be in the room to the right, but Mindy received a kidney so they had to cancel. Good for Mindy but bad for us. Boo hoo! That didn't last long. I made sure Mark knew what he was missing.
Yep, thats an ice rink! And I didn't even bring my skates. But you can guess, next year, Im definately bringing them! I was totally impressed! We were definately getting Ice Show tickets!
Every ship has a casino. And Pam was totally excited. Too bad there were no bells and whistles on this pull! PAY THE LADY!
I showed Pam the boat that I took Mom and the kids on in June. Pam kind of laughed because the boat we were on was twice as big as the Carnival boat and even that boat was fairly big.
The Flo-Rider is unique to Royal Caribbean. Its pretty intense body surfing or stand up surfing. We watched for awhile and not too many people hung on for very long. The lines were always long so we never did go do this. Next time definately.
Deck 5- Prominade! Totally awesome. Its like a mall in the middle of the ship! There's even a Ben & Jerrys!
Muster drill is next. I wanted to wear my life jacket but Pam wouldn't let me. It was definately quicker than last September despite being over 4000 people that had to get to the correct station. Bob was even having fun!
After all this, we finally headed to the pool and we had pulled out of Port. Drink in hand, Pam was enjoying this vacation. And this was only Day 1.
We headed back to the room and chilled out for a bit. It was a long day and tiring despite being on vacation. This was going to be a great week!
Pam ended up falling asleep on the bed and I fell asleep outside. I woke up at 2130...too late for dinner, but we didn't care. We knew it was going to be an amazing vacation! The only thing that could have made this better was if Chris was here! But, I did it to myself!
