We hadn't planned any specific excursion other than hitting the beach for awhile and the girls wanted to go shopping! This is one of a few pics of Allison without her tongue sticking out!
We seemed to have been followed by Carnival ships. Different ones each stop...but our boat was way bigger! WOW! It was HUGE!
The girls were having such a great time. It was amazing. We headed off the boat and through the shops that were at the Port! Then off to grab a taxi to Paradise Bay! Its a public access beach area. We took a taxi that took us about 10-15 minutes to get there! They had huge water toys and kayaks, bar, showers, bathrooms...and tons of sun!
Lauren had said numerous times 'I'm not snorkeling....I'm not going to, I just don't want to....I'm going to sit on the beach and collect seashells'. Well, after she found out that she could use her cast cover and actually got in the pool, I was waiting to see how long her attitude was going to last!
It didn't last. Basically we couldn't get her out of the water. Even though I measured her arm and ordered the correct size, it was way too long! But Lauren didn't mind and she called it her 'flipper' and then I put my name on it ...a lobster 'claw'. Lauren didn't care. She could get in the ocean, go under the water and get wet. It wasn't going to stop her! But she did also play in the sand and collect some shells!
She even managed to get out to this slide and go down it with a little help from Chris. If you look closely, she isn't touching the water! This slide was soooo big! She looked like an ant on top of it.
She then got over to the trampoline and jumped on that for awhile! The water is probably 10-12 feet in this area. That didn't stop her either. And she didn't wait for a life-jacket either!
Allison & I headed over to get a kayak and row around the dock for awhile! This is after we came back in. She really wanted the orange one, but we got Brianna's favorite color! Either way, she had a blast and it was fun coordinating our rowing!
Allison headed over to the iceberg next. It was a rather large water toy that you could climb to certain points and jump off. We did see some adults do it earlier!
I posted this picture to show how Allison's size compared to the size of this iceberg! I definately didn't want to climb it! I probably couldn't get one leg up...so Ill let Allison try! She did try and try but didn't make it! But thats ok...then we got on the floatie and kicked back to shore!
We stayed at Paradise Bay for awhile and then showered off and took a taxi downtown. Time for some lunch! Senor Frogs here we come!
Lauren loved this sign! I should have put my face in there too! Too cute!
The girls had fun at Senor Frogs, for the most part. Allison had a grumpy face on almost the entire time, which the entire staff at Senor Frogs noticed! They tried and tried to get her to smile! Not sure what was up with that. It is quite different than what I remember from the Cancun one but still fun! It wasn't too crowded when we got there but it was picking up when we left. The girls loved the cups....more to add to the bags!
Yes, of course thats my daughter! How could you ever tell? Can't you see how thrilled she is to have such a beautiful hat?
We did some shopping, picked up presents for everyone and then headed back to the boat. When we got back to the dock and through the shops, I found a Senor Frogs 1/2. It was just a bar with some tables and it was just out in the open. No walls, and an upstairs that had a water slide into the water. And the following lovely signs on the ceiling!
As we walked past that and went back down the dock to get ready to board the boat, it looked as if a new statue was placed in the same walkway we came down when we got off the boat. Wow! They put that up quickly. But then I realized it was a person. But wow, he looked like a real statue and most people didn't even realize it until he grabbed some ladies butt! Now, that was funny!
