How about 6? (National Titles, that is)

After leaving Burritos & Babies I tried to get home in order to see the NCAA Championship Game. I hesitated, but only for a moment, whether or not to turn on the television. As Allison & Lauren can witness, Im probably NOT the best person to watch the Tarheels play. I think Allison told Rod that 'she will just be yelling at the television'. When I turned on the television we were already up by 20, I had to actually look twice to see if the score was REALLY what I was seeing. It was! WOW! Up by 20 and not even half time yet. Yippee! Now only if they could keep it up the 2nd half.
They played so well and had the largest halftime lead in NCAA Tournament history. Tyler moved up to 3rd in NCAA Tournament scoring and it seemed as if many records were being set. But could they keep it up the 2nd half?
Why yes, they could. Even though we got to where we were only up by 12 and 15 at times, they kept the lead. MSU had beaten a number 1, 2 and 3 seed to advance to the Championship game and I was really worried even though we had beat them on the same court earlier in the year. I couldn't believe that we, again, were going to be NCAA National Champions.

The one piece of hardware that Hansborough didn't have. A National Championship! Now he can leave UNC with a huge smile on his face. What a team! They are always exciting to watch and most of the time I have to switch channels because my blood pressure rises, but this game was different. Im sure it was because of the double-digit lead!
SO much excitement.... if I only I was younger...I would be on my way to Franklin Street! I knew it was going to be crazy. But then I realized...hey, I have to work tomm and getting up at 0500 when it was now approaching midnight wasn't sounding too good!
I didn't stay up past the cutting of the net and all the post-game stuff but wow, what a way to end the day!

All the effort, all the practices they all dream of this moment. And nothing looks better than Carolina Blue! We are National Champions!
A view of Franklin Street at some point after I went to bed!

Congratulations UNC Tarheels.....you earned it!
