The girls went to Greensboro with Rod to see Jeff, and work was short-staffed, so I went in. Drove by Chris' on the way in. Holidays for some reason don't seem the same anymore. I really miss him. Did try to catch up on some stuff, but if there is a reason to cook at work, everyone is in! Karen Ramey is awesome at getting everyone to bring food. It always ends up being enough to feed a small country. This year was no different!
ER people always like to eat..probably because we rarely get a break or an actual lunch to sit down. Most of the time we are lucky to shove our lunch down our throats in 10 minutes or end up leaving it half eaten when something critical comes it. Luckily, today, everone got to eat!
Karen is the official tester of desserts! Actually she is the Queen of all pot-lucks! And she keeps the patients/visitors off their cell-phones! :)
Everyone helping out with putting everything out! And taste-testing everything too! ha ha... Which is some of the best part!
Jessica, my favorite (well really I can't say that) but she is a hard-worker and I love it when she's there!
And Trey was in Charge.....help us all! Or was he? I can't remember! At least he didn't have the dolphin top on! I think then we may have stuffed him!
That's a pretty full plate you have there Mike! Better to take care of those twins, huh?
Alberta....whos 2nd coming would be a 1-900 operator! If she ever leaves Rex and stops singing in the church choir....I definately know where she will be working!
Oh, Jessica again! Tasting desserts this time! And oh, were there desserts! Even Jo made my favorite Hershey Bar Cake! Yum Yum!
Even Ryan brought a fresh baked Apple Pie! No ice cream though! But thats ok...we have Cool Whip!
Even Sherry (our new Director) stopped by. I really though it was a family fib (inside joke) but she was serious...she really WAS coming to work today!
Now that everyone got to eat, Karen is trying to figure out if one of us is going to end up in Room 3! Not sure if anyone would move fast!
What a great day! Wasn't too busy although it was picking up by 1600. We had a great bunch, and this was way better than sitting at home by myself. After all, this is my 2nd family! I love these guys! Happy Thanksgiving people!
